I used platnium saw, but changed every wave legth.
The lead is Daedalus superlead, default, I didn't feel like messing with it.
The hi hat and clap are fl default,
I used RD drum with distortion and overdrive, and clubkick with overdrive.
The violins are Matronic or something like that.
Not that FL core, but I can't find better free stuff, and everytime I try to get cracked/free ones I ruin a computer:/
If you're talking about the crow echo yeah, but i'm not finding bird noises/synths.
Thanks for listening and reviewing:3
what's with the panning?
One of the strings instruments is panned completely to the right, and that hurts just to hear.
This was going to be a 7, but I revised to a 9 when the guitar dropped; that was pretty awesome.
Cello is panned to right, kind of where cello section sit on the stage :)
Normally double bass would sit even more to right but for fitting also to rock/ pop mix rules I put it to the middle.
Thanks for the review.
Holy cow!
With a little development, I could TOTALLY imagine navigating menu screens with this music. I'd love a short loop of a part near the beginning, just playing while I made micromanaging adjustments to my party.
Actually, the whole thing sounds pretty relaxing. I think maybe it might get a bit loud near the middle - if I were you I'd adjust some cutoff frequencies - and that makes it a bit more tense than you probably intended. Otherwise it sounds fantastic.
Thank you for the advice, I'll keep all of this in mind in the future. Thank you for leaving me so many reviews, I really appreciate it, man.
Wow
Ambient is one of those genres like funk house, electro, and industrial that I just can NOT write. However, you seem to have succeeded here. There's a lot of clashing notes and the percussion from the middle onward is a bit overbearing on the mix. Also, it doesn't loop very well.
thank you. It's really just a collection of sounds that I like and not much of a real song. I should have known better, or probably tried to make it more substantial.
I give up.
What's the sample? :D
By the way, I'm going through and listening to everything you've uploaded. :/
OMG, thank you so much.
The sample is the intro from startrek (the old one from the 60s with william shatner).
Accurate title
For some reason I just started laughing when I heard this, from beginning to end.
This might end up in a cartoon so im pleased to see that it works :)
Vocals were weak
Everything is done in your trademark awesome style, but the vocals...
I think one problem is that you're a bit too legato with your singing. Rather than being like:
"Cryin', people were lyin," you're like "Cuh-rye-ingg, pee-pul were lie-inggg"
also try using midi input to find notes with autotune and set retune to 0. :[
Then again, you WERE sick, so I guess I might be going off in the wrong direction with this
Yeah that is totally the wrong direction. I wasn't trying to copy your vocal feel fully. Its disappointing that you don't like the smooth flow it has to it, but I wanted to emphasize the lyrics in a very clear standard accent with a very smooth flow. Your track at 170bpm allows for faster lyrics at different parts, but legato fits the fx i've thrown onto it as EVERYTHING FLOWS IN. As far as the autotuning goes, that was already done in that regard; You can't correct it further to be natural because I decided to make it obviously autotuned-style. I'm not sure how i'll do the final though. It was planned to be natural, but I'm kind of digging the cher effect feel even if you aren't.
